Helping BFA secure IWC sponsorship and take off on the world’s first Spitfire expedition.
In 2019, two intrepid aviators flew a Silver Spitfire around the world, taking in some of the most famous landmarks on the planet from the Grand Canyon in the West to the snow-capped peak of Mount Fuji in the East.
We produced an engaging brand campaign that helped initially secure the principal sponsor IWC and many others. The campaign delivered on all objectives for securing sponsorship and as a result the team decided to carry this forwards and use the creative for the overall expedition marketing.
The expedition communications project was split over 2 phases, the initial launch and creation of communications assets for use at global landing zones, the development of an expedition website that included rich features such as a live flight tracker, interactive 3D Spitfire charity donation tool, integrated social feeds and an e-commerce store selling limited edition merchandise.
This expedition reunited the Spitfire with the many countries that owe their freedom, at least in part, to this iconic aircraft.
The website platform ensured a global audience could watch the expedition unfold in real time.
