Frost Creative were briefed to deliver a comprehensive rebrand for Trade House Media (THM), a digital advertising company based in Southampton. With years of experience and a wholly personal approach, THM were seeking support from a strategic partner to help deliver their brand strategy, proposition and brand language that will help support the business growth plans.
Working through our 5 step methodology, we were able to delve deeply into the business to discover what truly differentiates them in the sector. Through rigorous competitor research and analysis, stakeholder and employee workshops, we identified it was their personal approach to service delivery and strategically procured technology that was the key differentiator, hence the brand positioning; ‘Methodology Meets Technology’ being born.
Making a bold impression
The visual language is built around a simple colourful system that has an underlying fluid grid that echoes what digital advertisements would be placed in. This gives a structured, modern look that nods to the outputs of what THM does. The primary brand imagery takes inspiration from the Moon Jellyfish that changes colour according to its diet; this reflects THM’s relationship with their clients. The Jellyfish also uses its bright colours to attract organisms, which we felt symbolised the adverts THM place and the consumer they are targeted at. As jellyfish live underwater we extended the theme to include extreme close-up images of liquid formations that derive from the Jellyfish body and natural oils found in water to create a marbled effect that is visually striking and unique in this sector. The metaphoric imagery links back to THM’s client relationships, the creativity and engagement of the ads, their placement and THM’s agile working methods.
