The team at Willo Remedies briefed Frost Creative to help them build a brand for their premium CBD products. Our client had already been selling the products through various channels but had no brand name or identity they were proud of. Due to the quality of product developed and the established reputation of proprietor Will Millar, sales of the products had been successful, but he needed an effective brand to take the business to the next level.
We worked closely with the client to develop the brand name and after exploring a variety of different routes linking to the natural and restorative properties of CBD, the client settled on Willo Remedies, a name that is very personal to him and their ethos. The team got to work with competitor research, looking at what was currently available on the UK market (and beyond), to identify opportunities for where we should position this brand. The research helped inform our initial creative concepts, purposely avoiding common trends and cliché designs that were already overused, and created work that had a medical slant, which was a gap we identified in the market.
Working from Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man and thinking of how it mapped out the human body, a hand drawn illustration was created and natural elements added and pulled out to highlight the product’s helpful effects on the human body and the endocannabinoid system more specifically. This helped create a basis for a clean, simple brand image, that has a premium, slightly clinical feel that consumers will trust.
